Load from kc to in canceled. Closest trailer to me was in St. Louis.
Stuck in Topeka for the day.
So far the only thing aggravating me is the down time between loads and the trailer situation. Took jb almost 2 hours.

 

I know there are a few interested in cloud keeping a watch on this thread so I’ll ask you and everyone else that’s interested.
How would you like me to continue?
Do you want load to load, monthly numbers or quarterly?

I may have missed it but what is the escrow for? Is CT taking it out?

I think just a monthly or quarterly total of everything would be helpful with the number of days away from home, or something like that. Maintenance costs as well.

 

Is it hard getting a trailer for the loads? I just figured every load had a trailer? How much easier/harder is it to own your own trailer?

 

Can be difficult depending upon broker.
Got stuck in Topeka for 19 hours.
Was booked on another jb load at the time. Frito lay had no empties and the closest empty was in St. Louis.
Load canceled.
Took me until this morning to get something if I had a trailer I could of gotten out of Topeka earlier.
I’ve been looking for loads that are round trip, one way with a load out back or one way.
Two loads I was looking at this morning
One was going from KS to NC, load out the trailer and return to KS.
The load to NC paid very nice but I’d be stuck in KS all over again.
Ended up taking a load from the Kansas City convention center to Indianapolis.
Jb hunt you always need to bring an empty to the pick up.

 

I think the escrow is to cover the eld should you not return it.
Had the same escrow deal with cfi.

So I’ve now been sitting 18 hours.
Found a new trailer move on dat this morning.
Took cloud all day to set up with the broker.
During that time the load canceled.
Booked another new trailer move for tomorrow with a broker they are already set up with.
Just got woken up by pilots security.
Apparently they’d rather pay for him then for paint.
Reserved is so faded you can’t see it.
Got me for 15 bucks tonight but I still refuse to buy even a single gallon of diesel from pilot flying j.
