Stuck in Topeka for the day.

Got stuck in Topeka for 19 hours.
Was booked on another jb load at the time. Frito lay had no empties and the closest empty was in St. Louis.
Took me until this morning to get something if I had a trailer I could of gotten out of Topeka earlier.
I’ve been looking for loads that are round trip, one way with a load out back or one way.
Two loads I was looking at this morning
One was going from KS to NC, load out the trailer and return to KS.
The load to NC paid very nice but I’d be stuck in KS all over again.
Ended up taking a load from the Kansas City convention center to Indianapolis.

So I’ve now been sitting 18 hours.
Found a new trailer move on dat this morning.
Took cloud all day to set up with the broker.
During that time the load canceled.
Booked another new trailer move for tomorrow with a broker they are already set up with.
Just got woken up by pilots security.
Apparently they’d rather pay for him then for paint.
Reserved is so faded you can’t see it.
Got me for 15 bucks tonight but I still refuse to buy even a single gallon of diesel from pilot flying j.Last edited: Jan 25, 2022
