I'm taking off from a stop and I hear a clunking from under my truck. The clutch has a delay in it when I shift through the gears a second or two I got to wait to step on the accelerator

Park the truck and get underneath. Twist driveshaft back and forth while using your ears and eyes to locate the source of the slack, if possible. Probably gonna be a U-joint, but could be in the trans or rear end.

Check u-joint, center bearing mount, transmission mount and engine mount.

Sounds like classic u joint symptoms to me.

U Joint. One of them at least. There should be two.

Check them things right now. Make #### sure you are parked, chocked etc. engine off etc.

There is only one other set of clunking I have ever heard from a truck and it's usually fatal in the rear ends. But look at the U Joints first.
