No! He adjusted the current one “all the way out” and told me I’ll eventually need one. I got all the leaks fixed, graphics on, CB installed, windows tinted and some other interior stuff done.
Now it’s time to make some money. Once I have some steady income, clutch is first in list of repairs.

Grinds? Maybe more like a rattle? Often called chatter, a little bit can be considered normal. Maybe get another mechanics opinion on it, unless you’re sure it needs a clutch. Make sure it’s not just the fork or dry throughout bearing, low oil, or even a transmission problem. Take off the bottom inspection plate, check for broken clutch springs, usually find them stuck in the grease, laying in bottom of housing. Check for sloppy linking while you’re at it. Sometimes it can be worn and you’ll have no actual free play in the clutch. Even though it seems like it’s normal at the pedal. My guess is at least $3000, these days for a good clutch, install kit and labor. Probably more. Beware of the Stealerships. Freightliner quoted me $4000, 15 years ago. Got it done for about half the price,
