Whatever you do, do the rear main seal, the throw out, and have the flywheel resurfaced while it's apart.

I always have the input shaft and it’s bearing replaced on a clutch job.

That would be nice ! But usually when a clutch goes out ! You in a bad spot and dont want to be towed so ! At least thats what happened to me 3 years in my pete!

the clutch on my mack was done some time prior to my ownership input shaft is worn as are the cross shaft bushings. makes clutch travel really gritty and not smooth. ill probably end up doing a clutch job on this truck before the clutch is wore out because of this.

Cross shafts, bushings and fork are cheap at this time. Some times you can get a kit with, shafts, bushings, input bearing, and shaft cheaper than individual parts.

Also great time for rear engine mounts if it has any wear.
