Clutch Sticks when fully depressed

it suffers from to much grease in the gun

 

So I had sometime with the truck today, the pedal was pretty bad, it would stick almost everytime. I greased everything I could find and checked the bell crank which was fine. The attached item is attached at the end of the linkage, I think this is what pushes the clutch back out?

I don't know what's its called, but when the clutch sticks, if you go and give this thing a very light tap, the pedal springs back out.

It has air to it, but that seemed fine, I couldn't find any grease points on it, not sure if I did the right thing or not, but I sprayed it with WD40, and the clutch pedal not longer sticks.

It's alot better, but it is still two motions when releasing, and you can still feel it catch a bit at the very end of the pedal

This part was changed when the clutch was done, so not sure if it has failed or if it needs adjusting.

 

Truck have a PTO on it? Looks like an air cylinder so you could remote disengage clutch and engage PTO.

 

Looks like one of These .....Air Assist Clutch Servo To Me at least...!!


Maybe loosen the Bolt a Little at the Fixed End.. It May be Binding up..

 

No PTO on the truck.

 

On my 98 9400i, the rod goes from the clutch pedal under the dash, and thru a fiberglass panel just above the throttle and out to the linkage. Mine acted similar and turned out the fiber glass had cracked and worn out causing rough clutch operation similar to that. I reinforced the fiber glass with a piece of metal and solved the problem. Kind of uncomfortable laying under the dash, but it worked.

 

Totally foreign to me. The one on the truck has an air line to it so there has to be a solenoid valve and a switch or something somewhere else to make it do anything. Back end of that cylinder is definitely over tightened like @haycarter mentioned though.

 

Looks like a slave cylinder. Maybe it’s bad and getting hung up. Proper adjustment of the clutch is the first step. 1/2” -5/8” max at throw out, so that clutch brake engages, and 1/8” at forks when released. Adjust linkage if needed to get proper 1/8” freeplay at forks. Then see what you got.
