Who is the fastest in construction and speed zones. It’s often the guy you pass that blows by you in the lower speed zone.

I have a ungoverned truck and I run 62 or less mph. When mty I may let breathe a bit and hit 70 or 80 on occasion for a mile or 2 but that’s about all. ATA pushing this #### again. Along with the road safe America crown. Bunch of imbeciles time to start contacting legislators again.
alds, Canadianhauler21, TheLoadOut and 4 others Thank this. -
I am of a mind that the speed limiter's need to be on the cars and leave the T/T alone.

I turned off the highway into a scale that was open with a speed limit 15 sign posted, went through and got back on the highway, and the next 55 mph sign the truck saw was 3 miles down the road.
That’s a long way to have Karen Milquetoast thinking I was going quadruple the speed limit.alds, Canadianhauler21, kemosabi49 and 1 other person Thank this. -
Speed limiters may be the one thing that brings a total shutdown,

It took a while, but the 55 mph national speed limit was eventually dumped, as were the ridiculous 85 mph speedometers on cars of the early 80's. Same with the "seat belt interlock" that was required in 1974 model cars that was rescinded in less than 90 days by Congressmen who were getting an earful from their constituents. Technology has easily allowed speed limiters on cars since the late 1990's with ECM's keeping track of all data. Never been proposed, much less voted on.
The cell phone carriers (AT+T, Verizon, T-Mobile) have the capability right now to stop all distracted driving problems caused by the phones on their network. They could send out a signal to reprogram the phones' screen to go blank if the GPS picked up motion faster than 5 mph. That would cause an uproar.
They can pick on trucks because the voting block is small, and everybody hates trucks.TokyoJoe, truckguy391 and jason6541 Thank this. -

Its already in play in Canada (Ontario and Quebec) and I'll be honest. With very light to light traffic it's not bad. When there's medium to heavy it's terrible. It's literally just Nascar for 400 miles. Bumper to bumper for miles. Relentless tailgating 4 wheelers doing 63MPH even though you can only do 65. 10 minute passes, I've personally seen 20 minute passes.
They definitely make the roads more dangerous. If they pass it in the United States, I'll probably hang up the keys for good.Badmon and truckguy391 Thank this. -
I'm sorry but I don't feel sorry for my so called professional equals driving like 4 wheelers.
I really don't care how fast you drive but I do deserve a little respect while I GTFO of your way in a very timely fashion.
You bring these regulations on the entire industry for driving like idiots.truckguy391 and Wasted Thyme Thank this.
