Co-Phase on the dash?

Alot of stuff gets repeated cause someone else said it and then they wanna seen smart by repeating it..

Hey fellow Truckers.

I'm getting ready to make some major adjustments for sheer simplicity by moving my Antennas. They are currently installed on the lower mirror bracket bars and I'm going to raise them to the top bars. I know I'll have to re-tune them which is fine but to do so I'll have to use a new Co-Phase since the old can't reach that high. I don't have time one the road to do a thorough cable install. I'm wondering if anyone has ever connected the coax and just layed the remaining lengths on on the dash while still properly rolling up the remains long ways and in a figure 8 of course then neatly placing them in they're respected corners tied off? Is so how was the reception?

This is just temporary as I'm not going home till Thanksgiving. That's when I'll go in and properly hide the coax.

(BTW, off topic but ground is NOT the issue with International Prostar. I believe it was FireStick that first said that as they were most likely the first to investigate why suddenly they were getting more complaints than ever then learned it was nearly all driving a Prostar. But they were very wrong and all they said in their report that's still posted on their site is very obvious they only saw a new major change and just as quickly pointed a finger. I have the answer and it will dramatically improve any Prostar Drivers CBing! I'll be sharing a lengthy post on it later when I have more time to type. And once I do I'll attach the link here too so you don't have to go digging.

There is no problem with what you want to do with the excess wire on your dash as long as you make long loops. What i mean is don't wrap it around your fist and zip tie it like that. This creates an rf loop and that could cause trouble even with minimal use of the cb.
