    It appears we have similar motives. It also appears we have different beliefs based on different experiences.
    I want everyone to have a great sounding radio as well as getting the most performance for the dollar spent. We seem to have drastically different expectations in regards to performance on the 11 meter band.
    I guess we can agree to disagree.

    I didn't miss the point. Most technicians have missed it unfortunately.
    Precisely what the Bird 43 Manual says to do for precise measurements during tuning a transmitter would also apply to using other test equipment like an oscilloscope while making adjustments to the transmitter.
    Unless a perfect 50 ohm load is presented to the oscilloscope, any adjustments will be slightly off.
    It becomes less of an issue when using the transmitter after it has been tuned.

    I hooked some coax with my stacks in a residential neighborhood. I stretched it 15ft before it multiplied. I also have a multiplier.
