Cobra 29 lxbt

Are you checking swr with another meter or the radio meter? I wouldnt trust the built in meter. When you say that rx is low are you referring to the static level or abscence of incoming signals? I have a 29lx, ltd NW , and 29 LTD chrome and the static level is very low on all three but the receive is very good.

 

Sounds normal for a 29.

 

Im at the Pilot in Waco Tx and they have the 29LXBT marked down to $109.00 from $ 189.00 and I have seen it at that price at other FJ/Pilots, Looks like they are trying to close it out, I dont think the BT concept caught on like Cobra had anticipated. I had one a while back and the one feature it has that the lx does not is a backlit face, only thing I didnt care for is that the mic is 6 pin and they dont include an adapter for 4 pin but as I remember a RCI adapter worked, and the stock mic wasnt too bad it is a noise canceling mic.

 

if it uses a 6-pin microphone does it have phantom power coming in on PIn one or Pin 6?
If so, this would be a pretty cool microphone to put on that radio.
