Cobra 29 WX NW ST

    Ok so I have an old Cobra 29 and after hooking it up, I noticed that SWR/RF/CAL meter on the left side isn't working so I cant calibrate it. The needle is stuck in the middle and not moving. The backlight doesn't come on either. Now, I can hear traffic within maybe a quarter mile but that's about it. So can the meter be fixed?

    Any decent cb shop in your area should be able to fix you right up.

    Very well I'll see if I can find me one. I wouldn't be home for at least a another week so maybe I can find one out here on the road.

    For $25 you can get a stand-alone SWR meter that will serve you for any future radios you need calibrated. Internal meters in general have a bad reputation for inaccuracy.
