Radio turns on fine, sometimes will work ok then won't TX/RX for awhile and other times it doesn't work after powering on until it warms up. It was tuned by DTB a few years ago and this is what the board looks like, any suggestions? 20180904_181352.jpg 20180904_180925.jpg 20180904_180918.jpg

No way that board was butchered by DTB, someone else has been in there too, someone that should have never even let the words “soldering iron” fall out of their mouth.

I apologize, you guys are right, DTB probably DIDN'T do the hack job. This is the radio I took to Paul in Salina, KS across from Petro and he did a P&T on it and then it #### caught fire a few weeks later sitting in the overhead console going down the road. I bought another radio and sent this to DTB to be diagnosed. He supposedly straightened it out and now 2 years later I got this problem. Sorry for the misinformation.

Well it could be a lot of things, more likely than not, it is a cold solder joint.

Now that can be located at those "quality" repairs.

    rabbiporkchop and tony97905 Thank this.

I like to think I solder well as a hobbyist but to a pro my work might look rough, but that solder job is hideous

You would remember this face if it was Dave that worked on the radio.
