Cobra 6000 GPS

Wondering the same thing I see a lot in trucks and at truck stops but no one is talking

 

I gave mine to A buddy, free. I found it very irritating , A distraction dictating routing , turn here, turn there, and not showing you the logic, the connections, and hitting you with data at the last second before execution is necessary. I guess those born digital may like it. For my money my daughters Garmin was better. That's just me. I'll stick with Rand McNally and A call to the shipping and receiving department when I'm getting close.

 

anything other than a CB from Cobra is junk stay away from it

 

Had one for one trip. Traded it in at the next pilot I found. Hard to use, froze constantly and tried to take me down some roads no truck should be on. I have the rand McNally 720 now and am much happier with it.

 

Same here. In Mercer PA , RTE 8 , traffic down to one lane , A mess. The crazy machine repeatedly tells me to turn left ; but all the streets are closed. I finally see A left turn that can be made , the thing is saying turn , and naming the street. I am pulling A tanker with 47,000 lbs. of sodium hydroxide for the steel mill. So I go down this little residential street, it's pitch dark, no street lights. For A distance cars were parked on one side of the street , then both sides. I finally got to what I was hoping was the end, but it turned out to be A hairpin curve with cars parked in it like A parking lot. Had to back up between the cars on both sides of me , seemed like an eternity before I came upon A factory with A parking lot I could turn around in. Some guys smoking on the loading dock asked me what I was doing there. I told them I was delivering the submarine they had ordered .It was after I got out of that one that I gave the lunatic box to my buddy Ed.
