my Rogue cobra 7700 has led me (and anyone for that matter) down the wrong path for the last time today !! it had the misfortune of the fist of a very upset driver go threw it , then a large breeze tossed it out the window under the tires ...but it works so much better now than it ever did !!! moral of the story ..never get one (unless you just want a dash nick nak -doily ...would have had a bad conscious if I sold it to someone!!

I tried to use it to go to a person'r house in Bellview TN. It would not even bring the street up! Come to think of it the first time I went there was when I used Mapquest. It didn't work either.

Neighbor hold is 15 years old or older.

    Brian,
What features does the 7700 have that are not on the 5000 ?
    Is the only differance size?

    thanks

    Brian,
Is the only differance between the 5000 and 7700 size? If not what features does the 7700 offer over the 5000?

    thanks tg

Sorry but the 7700 does not accept coordinate entry. Only street addresses can be entered.

The biggest difference is that the 7700 offers truck routing. You can enter truck parameters (weights, lengths, etc.) and the 7700 will calculate a legal route. The 7700 also has Multiroute which lets you enter multiple destinations.

Camping World is selling this unit as one for RV folks...from what I see in these posts, and others, this unit does not seem to be too reliable....it does not seem to be for RV's either...does anyone manufacture a unit for the RV people? I'd like spoken name streets, lifetime traffic, height advanced notice....my RV is almost 13 feet high..etc.....any ideas Brian or others?

Although I haven't had this unit very long, 4 months, but I do use it in an RV setting as our rig is 13-2 and almost 70 ft long. No problems so far but it does act quirky sometimes, like wanting to turn off at a highway exit & then get right back on. Since I don't give it particular street addresses to find but rather just routing from point to point it does all that I ask of it. Since we pull our trailer with a Volvo 770 the trucker info is really good for us as far as truck stops, repairs, fuel and some campgrounds. It works better than ones I've had in the past but I do not rely on it 100%.
