Brian I can get you the address. But giving my home address out here would not be a good idea.

What about the curves in the road in Oklahoma. If I was in the sleeper and had a codriver? That would wake me up.

The problem is due to an error with the map data (from our mapping supplier). This can only be resolved with a map database update. I have checked and it looks like it is resolved in our next map release.

Brian have they addressed the the freezing issue? This seems to get worse as time goes on. I also was wondering when are they going to release the new cobra and will it solve the freezing problem?

Brian, program it for a route from Savannah GA to Lewiston ME, a route I ran as recently as last week (basically up I-95). Then ask for POI's along the route. Select Auto/Truck, Travel Centers, and then select All. Also ask it for all rest areas along the same route.

Some. I'm not a pro; I'm kind of a jack-of-all trades. I have Oracle experience, have installed enterprise mgt software, built my own website, understand fully relational databases, etc., but I don't make my living at it. One interest of mine is man-machine interface and human behavior, for whatever that may be worth... :)

There's nothing inherently "cheap" about an automobile focused database; it is simply a database with auto-related info populating it. That info is extraneous in a pro trucker database. How many commercial truckers who are hightailing it down the road to make maximum income being paid by the mile do you know who have a need for Art/Antiques? I personally rarely have a need for a beauty shop, for example (most truckers being guys, and all). I would hazard that most truckers don't need Fashion, or cemeteries, or flower shops as a point of interest in the professions as truckers (not to be confused with delivery addresses, which is not what I'm talking about). This info in a trucker database is silly, particularly when beauty shops are there, but weigh stations aren't. And speaking of weigh stations...

It doesn't matter whether a weigh station is only open a single day of the year. If a commercial trucker bypasses an open station JUST ONCE, he will being working for free the entire next week just to pay the first offense fine. Plus, he will have to live with points against his commercial license for the next 3 years that will hinder his ability to get employment. It's not a minor detail left out or a laughing matter. It's a big deal and it belongs in a "pro trucker" database before the beauty shops do.
