Grounding straps produce the rf ground or balance that is needed to bring up the radiation efficiency of the antenna system.

The antenna system requires two parts of the signal to be transmitted, one is a positive wave and the other is a negative or opposite wave,

It has to have a balance to work right - I just simplified the explanation.

The grounding straps are there to make sure the rf ground is covered with enough of a radiating element for the opposite or negative wave.

 

Ridgeline has answered that question twice now, and I gave you a link to read up on bonding. Plus a video on how to do it by craigsez. I don't think we can help you, at least I can't.

 

I hope he reads it, but it will help others, even Rabbi can read it to understand how it works.
