He is a clip and snip,empty your wallet shop!
I stopped in once and that will be the last. Told me my Wilson 2000 was junk too and i needed all new coax ran.
That was BS,I had just installed new coax,new mount and had the SWR at 1.2.

I stopped because my squelch knob was scratchy on my 44v......He could not fix it but still charged for a bench test to get my radio back!
He did something that caused my talk back to be wide open.I had another shop get that back right.
I got some electronics cleaner at radio shack when i got home and fixed it myself.
What a waste of time and money that was!

 

Don't know where you heard that but the Road Kings and Wilson antennas are top notch.

 

Wilson did sell out as well as Astatic. I have a new Wilson 2000 and 636L and no issues at all.
I get compliments on how it sounds all the time.
Actually the 636 sounds better than my Road King 56. The 56 is not Turner Telex anymore.It just says Telex.
