Does it make sense to post stupid things? In the beginning of my account on here I might have asked not so smart but now I'm being somewhat smarter and ask about legit companies... I'll have my CDL before 5yrs from now garunteed... I'm asking questions that make sense so it would be nice if people don't remember the name I picked originally...

I have things preventing me from obtaining my CDL license... If those weren't in the way, I'd start trucking school later on Monday

I get it’s a few years out for the OP but let the guy do his research

Sure. the numbers and info will change but if he did nothing, pointless to some or not for 5 years then at that point there’d still be others on him for not doing more research

Appears he has a lot of time to dig and figure a lot of things out
Little over prepared? Who’s to say

If not wanting to assist then that’s the easy part
I wish more people would do better digging on anything they do than they do in life, maybe there’d be less chaos in the World if people actually knew what they were saying or listening to

Why five years? It seems like you really don’t want to disclose what these “issues” are... which I understand if it’s a personal thing, but is it an issue with your driving record or an issue with passing the physical? I am asking because, maybe you can still get an intrastate CDL? (You would only be allowed to drive in your home state). Might want to look into that.

I don’t mean to pry, but the more info you give, the better answers you will receive.

You’re absolutely right, but dang... this guy’s been asking the same redundant questions for over 3 years. He wants info for his research but won’t give any info about why he can’t get a cdl, so I think as this saga continues to drag on, he is going to get more and more troll replies on his threads. And yes, I know, we can just hit the ignore button if we don’t like it. I know I have been known to troll him a little bit here and there, but it’s in good fun. believe it or not I am rooting for him and want to see him (and everyone else) succeed.

I'll have to go to vocational training before I apply for the school and get my CDL... I also have some personal issues that have to be dealt with before I can go to vocational training...

Thank you for being nice enough to explain yourself, I have quite a few things that have to be dealt with personal and otherwise

Same old story. I’m guessing he’s 13 and somehow started this when he was 10. Inquiring about Sysco or any other company today is pointless as they could be gone in 3 years. This is an extremely volatile business where the margins between owning a wake boat and waking up bankrupted are extremely tight. There’s no formula that makes the business work with more or less trucks. 2000 trucks could go under tomorrow just as fast as a guy with 1 truck. And more importantly, as we’ve seen, nothing has been more volatile than the wages in trucking. If you think anyone will be paying the same in 3 years you are crazy. And that’s not just in trucking. Wages change steady in every industry.

What happened to covid? Two months ago you were saying covid was the reason you weren't getting your cdl. Before that you thought you needed to get experience in smaller trucks. You also mentioned your living situation as a barrier. If you're willing to start on Monday I guess that's not an issue anymore?

The common theme with your posts is the idea that you have to get experience with smaller trucks first. If you want to drive smaller trucks then do that, nothing wrong with that but they won't help you when it's time to move up to semi trucks, they are completely different worlds.
