Well, considering I'm only 55K into it (including purchase price), it's not quite the price of a new (or even a more modern) one yet... But I knew this process would be expensive... But I'm building the truck I want instead of buying someone else's "baby" or a boring truck that you see everywhere

If you go back and read any of the thread, it was my initial plan to do so... To make more room for me, the lady, and the dog/s. And because I can stretch it 10', And it'll be only 1.5' to 2' longer than most company conventional trucks. In other words, I'll have a total of 15' of sleeper, and still be able to go everywhere every other truck can.

I am sorry, I don't have time to read the entire thread, but it makes sense. Hope you have a good shop to do the work, I've seen some pretty crappy work in my time, especially from a company in Indiana.

Well, that was the reason I revived this thread... To see if anyone had recommendations on good shops to work with for stretching the frame.

Still nothing special yet. Haven't even done anything on the exterior. I'm on my way to pick it up from the shop now, I believe this should be the last time I go for major parts replacement.

I’ve seen a couple trucks that Maupin in Dodge City KS has done and they were good. The best thing would be to find a shop that can check what your driveline angles will be after the stretch but before they have the new drivelines built.
