Euro cabovers are a whole different animal. Way more comfortable and roomy.

I saw this thing last winter, looks like they keep it in running condition and are out making money with it. 20211126_111411.jpg

There’s a guy out of Quebec runs N.E. US with one of those with a DD15 that will put up about 1500hp. He’s pretty tight with the guys at Diesel Spec. When I saw the truck last he was running 2 ecu’s on it, one with the 515hp file in it, and the other one, with a switch on the dash. Might be ugly but will it ever go.

Quite a few Canadian carriers(especially ones out of Quebec and Ontario) run Argosys in cross border operations.

Cab over Freightliners aren’t exactly the prettiest thing you’ll ever see either. I had two of them and one I drove for over 8yrs. An ‘81 Powerliner and an ‘85 with the standard grille opening. I had the full set of 28V’s, 1 white and 1 yellow. The ‘85 would tow a b-train load of boards right along. When the boys from White City got their cows back aboard at the feedlot in Thunder Bay I could go all the way to Toronto with them.

I always like the looks of the Powerliner ..I never minded looking a Freightliner untill you opened the right side door and saw that 20.00 kitchen chair for a passager seat.. Still better looking than a ASTRO of the IH 4070

Argosy production ceased completely a year ago. They are no longer listed on the Australian website. The left hand drive gliders were discontinued 2 years ago.
