I hear ya, I'll always listen when someone might give good advice on securing something. I picked up from a place in Connecticut and this team picked up beside me. They got 6 coils eye to the sky. They throw two straps over the first one, not x strapped but just side by side. Then one strap over each after that.

I understand it might not be the wrong way, I guess I was irritated by it because its not how I would do it ya know.

My load was three 3k lbs coils loaded suicide. I put two 3/8's chains through each since they weren't touching. Then I had three 2k lbs eye to the sky touching. I x strapped each one and wrapped a strap around the front one to prevent forward movement. I felt secure about the load.

I try to secure my loads as if I were to get into a wreck, I want to know that nothing is coming off of my trailer.

Had a load of lumber going to whatstheirfaces in Iowa.

Hill was iced, I mean ICED, coming up I spun 7 times. Parked on the slope, no choice their forklift was parked on the flat. Walked in the check in, 5 minutes later a guy comes running in.
    Outside on the h-
She was gone... we piled into the van and slid all the way down, sure enough, my 2002 9400i was a pile in the trees. The load didn't budge, the lady that owns that piece of woods said she saw it coming side ways, and hid under the bed in her bedroom. They had to cut the straps to get the lumber off, broke a few pieces and tore the bottom bundles on the right side to hell.

If my wife wasn't at home 8 months with our first, she wouldn't be here.

    I lugged a van.
NEVER haul anything without your bars against them! It will fly out the front of that trailer and kill you or someone.

I have a 44000 pounder on me now I picked up at a us steel plant here in ohio and I did eight chains, three straps and im tempted to throw two more straps over the tarp. I also built a bulkhead in front of the coil but I doubt it would do any good. Its loaded shotgun also. Do I have more the enough securement on it?
