Gator, I don't agree with throwing straps over a tarp because I am afraid of them wearing holes into my tarps, but with 24 years experience I'm sure your well aware of what your doing and I could probably stand to learn a few things from you.

I guess my more direct question is: what chain do you use that has a WLL of 20,000k? 3/4? What binders are you using? I would love to get my hands on ones with a 45,000k limit.

I think you have your numbers messed up. 6cm thick chain would be almost 3 inches thick which is massive and if you can throw chain bigger than anchor chain then ####. I digress though you really need to check the working load limit of your chains before you get in trouble because it takes a big ### chain and binder to get those kind of ratings.DEMO Thanks this.

I think he accidentally added zeros.
SHC Thanks this. -
####, I was gonna have some fun....

Was never good with the metric system.
As for the 20000 pound deal, my comma key sometimes won't enter. I'll edit it. -
Even if he did add zeros then he needs to get bigger chains as 1/4 inch grade 70 has a better wll than 2000 lbs.
