Your picture is really small so I can't see, but what caused him to roll over, was it taking a corner to fast? Where was his coil?

I was told that was the limit. I just treat each coil like its worth a million. Gonna do some research later and correct everything.DEMO Thanks this.

Its ok, you spelled COLUMBUS wrong too LOL.DEMO Thanks this.

It will be stamped on the chain & binders. Remember, even if you have a binder that is rated at 45k & you use it with a chain rated at 20k, the binder is only good for the 20k. Securement is only as good as the weakest link. Also, never believe what your told, look for yourself.
gator21 Thanks this. -
His coil was by my drives, and no, the left chain snapped when he came off the. I watched it unfold, no one was hurt. I left after I gave the police my contact info and witness info. Sorry about the size, wish I knew how to make it bigger without scrambling the image.

Oh come one man! I wanted to point that out to him......LOL
I'll say this and it's been said many many times..... I don't care how many chains you want to put on the coil(s), but just put 1 or 2 on and get the hell outta my way..... please and thank you. -
Another thing to remember is that most anchor points on trailers are only rated at 5000lbs so that would be your weakest link. Most newer trailers will have the wll of the anchor points posted somewhere near the nose usually by the vin plate.
I see what you did now so be sure and do that research and find out the rating on your chains. -
Ok so let me get this straight..... his chain snapped for no reason and the coil just jumped off the trailer? Something doesn't make sense to me here or I'm misunderstanding something...
ALso be fore you judge someone or a situation, you might want to know everything. Keep in mind if he had a 15k coil 2 chains and a strap would be sufficient securement.
One more thing. It actually take a lot to move a coil, trust me I know.Jfaulk99 Thanks this. -
Little A/C hauling chains. I don't know the speed he came off the ramp with, but when it laid on its side it slid across 1 lane, i.e the one I was in.

HUH? Don't understand the first part.
Ok so the guy come off a ramp that I assume had somewhat of a curve in it and it rolled over? At what point did the coil come off the trailer? Was it when it layed over or before?
