Well the revolution trailer has a 1 piece rub rail, completely different than a regular style one. I called Fontaine and they said it was rated at a 10,000# WLL, so my chains/binders are my week point.

I figured a RGN would have D rings rated higher than 6,500 but not a flat. I see several guys with 1/2 chains on flats and I can't understand why, there is no benefit.

    True,

My flat beds never had that high of a rating but still carried 1/2 chains, DOT never said a word tho. Hey free chain is free chains.

I have no idea what these rubrails will hold. It bends it bends, I'm only paying for the truck. ;P

I've hauled a 110k coil out of the Houston port once. Had it on 11 axles and it was one of the worst riding loads I've ever hauled. You really should get out more there is way more freight than standard 40 to 48k crap on the road. As fa as Jfaulk he really knows his stuff when it comes to coils don't think he's full of #### all the time.

Nice to see someone "call" ole Faulk on some his" Millarkey" about hauling iron. All along i was wondering if he really knew what he was talking about. The truth comes out!

Yeah, he's just a kid like me who has never even seen a coil but in pictures....LOL.

Besides I'm sure with you living in the "Rubber City" you've never seen any big coils.....:biggrin_25517:

Yeah when i started Americans owned all the "Mills". If someone had ever mentioned people from across the creek owning US "MILLS" you would gotten laughed right out of there. Those were the days,(Loader)How much you want driver? (Driver)How much is left on the order? (Loader 105,000#) (Driver)I'll take it all. I started with a guy named Al Harrison up near Cleveland, his motto was we do not take any part lots and we do leave any. That was before we went on strike and got the 40 mini among other things. And the lead was flying down on Jennings Road in Cleveland.
