    Well; that's funny. I have had my truck searched and had mouthwash; nyquil, etc in the truck and never had a word said to me.

    you obviously know NOT of what you speak....medicine is medicine, mouthwash is mouthwash, alcohol, in a bottle like a fifth or quart, or a beer bottle, is alcohol. you cannot compare medicines to an alcoholic beverage.....maybe you ought to learn a bit more before you speak.

    me too, and hundreds if not thousands of others......i have had "cabin searches" at the canadian border, and at DOT scale houses, never any problems for me.....

    by the way, i had PM'd Diesel Bear (who we all know) and he said,

    now, me personally, i never had a company tell me i could not carry mouthwash, or OTC or prescribe medicines......care to contradict what is being said rachi.......???????????

    {in fact, i personally think MORE drivers ought to start USING mouthwash and brushing thier teeth more often.....}

    Did you wake up on the wrong side of the bunk? I said I think Its not legal. Go back and read my post. I was trying to get some opinion on it. Even diesel bear doesn't know for sure. You would think some cop would have enough sense not to hassle someone over mouthwash, but I have always heard that no alcohol of any kind is allowed in a cmv.

    If the cop is a dick,

    you will Not want to have anything with alcohol in it !!!

    Avoid the risk !!!!!!!

    Aftershave, mouthwash, and OTC cold medicines are all available in alcohol free brands !!

    Rachi, if that is the way you want to drive. That is your choice. I for one will not carry alcoholic beverages unless it is part of a manifested load, ANYWHERE on my rig. As for mouthwash, it is a non issue to me. Each of us has to drive and ensure we are comfortable within the regulations. You are not comfortable carrying mouthwash or cold medicine, then do not. Just brush and floss daily instead.
