I understand about the advantages of the straight. I have just as you called it avoided the cookie cutter common engine by being uncommon or even unpopular sometimes.

it has a mack e-7 460. a v8 mack would be cool but i hear parts for them are starting to get hard to come by however.
*F..... it was actually -2 when i filmed that but the overnight low had dropped down to about -10 so it was good and cold soaked. lol i don't live in Canada, north Dakota so might as well be Canada but in the us....lol i do run cross border loads from Canada however.x1Heavy Thanks this. -

I did three days last week where the high was like 5, and the lows were -9ish. I'm putting in my two cents cause I never use anti gel, and always turn my truck off. I'd say 1-1/2 revolutions max, she fires right up. Truck said -27 doing about 55 in one valley in Wyoming.
I keep the tanks at least 1/2 full, and get fuel in the freezing states.
The big chains winterize their fuel. I mean think about it, if it wasn't blended for the harsh temps, it wouldn't come out of the dispenser.Bean Jr. Thanks this. -
Yep. Them dispensers have filters also. Probably not as fine as the trucks though.
