The VA is colonoscopy happy. You hit 50 it's automatic with them. That's the first thing they wanted to schedule me for when I first went to them a year ago with me having many other medical problems needing attention. Thank god the cardiologist won't let them do the procedure while I'm on Effient and I'm on that for life. For those that don't know Effient is a trade name for Prasugrel which is like Plavix. It keeps blood platelets from sticking together. Colon cancer is the last thing I'm worried about. I already know diabetes or my heart will get me. It just tickles me I don't have to go through that and I've see a bunch that had it done at the hospital.
Literally speaking, lol.

I have insurance that covers very little.
I have to have a high deductible in order to afford even that.
In 2003, to get on my wife's policy as a dependent, it was going to cost over 900.00 per month.
I have a history of high blood pressure, but not recently.
Last year went to the doctor and it was 275.00 for the exam and all they did is take my blood pressure and renew a skin cream prescription.
So, I can see why many do not have insurance.Big Don Thanks this.
