    i would love to have a silver 92 in a 1 ton--for play--i am sure it would drive a person crazy after to long--i have seen an 471 with an alison in a ford one ton---the guy did a pretty good job--considering he really didnt pay for anything--just stuff that was laying around

    1979 Pete / 3408 / TT / 600 hp tied to a 12-5-13 and 3:70's...... was given to me to drive with 25k on it in 1979....... broke the crank at 50k ( under warranty ) got 3 mpg . The 445 Yamaha's didn't have a prayer but know who did??? Old Mexican dude with a black RS700L Dawg and a V-8. One bad to the bone truck......day cab and a 4x4 air shift. I could not shake him loose on the haul...always on my 6.

    The white color was a PACAAR deal to differentiate their power plants from others with the same engines. the color is the same that CAT still uses on their smaller marine engines.

    The other truck manufacturers... PACCAR wanted a distinctive color and white was what they chose.

    This made me chuckle, I ran a silver 445, 13,3.70 in a K100. going across Wyoming one day showing many how to use the Monfort lane . came upon a Superliner who showed me how things "really" were.
    those were good times. was alot a fun back then....

    You sure about that? Seen white CATs in Frightliners and white Cummins's in Internationals before.

    Yep... I'll try to find the Pete brochure that explains the thinking behind it. I think Mackinac 359 from the ATHS and Hank's Truck Pictures had it posted some time ago.
