I saw this too, pretty tense. Looks like May started it off, being the 1st truck. We did have some wicked winds, and dryest on record, but again and again, what is the mindset? Okay, big dust cloud approaching, can't see 20 feet, what, hammer down? It only shows the lack of being connected to think nothing could possibly happen, hammer down. Like walking into a dark room, what could possibly happen? 4 people this time, I'm sure some 4 wheeler panicked, and rightly so and it isn't over yet. Will they ever learn?:dontknow: Be an even bigger truck driver shortage if I was in charge. Hand over the license, you obviously can't handle the job, BAM:salute:

Very sketchy for the Drivers involved...they shouldn't have been on the road. Nobody should've been but who gets the blame? Truckers should know better..

Those dust clouds are visible for miles. I always watch wind forecasts and plan for the possibilities. My buddy who was out there said he knew of the high winds and dust clouds being forecasted. He grabbed a truckstop and waited it out. These situations are the same as those west of Laramie; ignore the warnings and drive on.

Yeah, it's not like up towards Monument where the mountain wave can decide to drop down and it goes from zero to 60 in seconds. That gust front would be fairly obvious to anyone paying attention down there. But paying attention isn't the default for most drivers, cars or trucks, anymore.

And then there were the 30 sheep and 1 goat all askew, man, that must have been quite a scene when the dust settled. Where's the love of God there?:dontknow:
