Any advice to look for with what they tell you. I know you have to take what the recruiter with a grain of salt. But should I expect to be ready to fill the swimming pool? Did other companies scout you at 6 months or were you just looking?

there is a lot of stuff. lots of little stuff but it takes a toll on you. the biggest one is that in orientation they will tell you that you get home early friday and leave sunday afternoon. That is total BS. i haven't been home before 5pm yet. and i've left before 9am sunday for the last 6 weeks. just hope you don't get home saturday because they'll still expect you to leave sunday, smh.

but like i said there is a lot of little things. maybe it's just me, maybe you wont have those issues. again, they're not bad for a starter company.

As far as other companies, i actually am going to get my own truck through a lease purchase. my buddy put me on to them. He made good money with them then went on to start his own company and now has 4 trucks. i'm following in his footsteps basically

I guess I'll have to take my chances since Tuesday is almost here. I can put up with some but to much is a different story. I wish you well and hope everything works out for you. Good luck on your endeavors and be safe out there. Bill

yeah, you'll be ok. it's not the worst. it's just been piling up for me. plus my buddy shows me how much freight pays and knowing that compared to what they pay us doesn't help at all lol......you'll be fine though, just make sure you take that per diem. definitely helps the pay check.

maybe i'll run into you before i leave. i'm in truck 2121

Sounds good hope to meet and try and pick your brain. I get more out of talking in person than I do on these things. I'll be sure and go for the per diem.

They start at .40 cents per mile loaded or empty. If you read earlier post you will see average miles.
