Have a 2 yr old comfort pro- had some issues but they were fixed. Last night after a spell of freezing rain, it got cold and started snowing and got windy. My APU was set on temp so it cycles by itself, about 10 hours after setting- APU kicks in, sounds like it’s working but I have no heat/ac/power - checked belts they are still as they should be. I am confused as my bunk control shows it’s operating but it’s not heating/cooling/power. Any ideas?

If the belt is intact check for power with a multimeter on AC volts scale, at bottom of generator there is a breaker with a red button, you should have 120v measured from a post on the breaker to ground (generator case). (Obviously make sure that breaker isnt popped). If you dont, best to try a test capacitor first (round cylinder looks like an oversized battery clamped up above breaker with 2 wires coming out). If you still dont have 120v your generator is bad, $1500-1600 for the part. We havent been able to find anyone to repair these to make them last more than a month or 2 so we are back to buying new ones.

P.S. Check for any broken wires in that area to capacitor, breaker, several grounds to case. I have seen broken wires there that will put generator out of commission.

Ok opened it up and found the other fuse (20 amp) was blown- she’s purring like a kitten again. Thanks for the pointers in this thread saved me from having to find a dealer open on NEw Years

Glad to hear it

I have a PC6012, my generator is only producing 6 volts after having starter replaced.
-
Hard to say. Did you check at the outlet or generator? Condition of generator belt?
-
Checked at generator at 35 amp breaker, belt is new and tight. Was told could be capacitor, so got a new 25mfd capacitor from local HVAC business, still just 6 volts

Usually the symptoms you see with the bad capacitor would be around 90v to around 100v. Hate to tell you this but looks like a bad generator.
