I'm in Redwings but there are a lot of good brands. The trick to making boots last is to not wear them every day. Buy two or three pair at the same time- number them with a marker and rotate them every day. The moisture from daily wear destroys any boot.

I bought 3 pair of boots a year ago, they replaced the boots I bought in 1997.

And if you're working in hot climates a boot or leather shop can put two eyelets (or rivets) in the side of your boots under the arch- for ventilation, just like the 'Nam era military issue jungle boots we used to wear. That'll help to keey your toes dry.

i have used and like redwings, rockys and wolverines, all good boots i think
i used to get 1 1/2 - 2 seasons out of a pair driving ready mix and all i did was keep them sprayed off with water, i never put the conditioner on them like i was supose too. concrete is hard on boots and i wore them till they started to leak then it was time for a new pair

If you need comfortable boots that you can wear 24hrs. and have bad feet then try a pair of Merrell's. No they are not work boots or steel toes but your feet and lower back will thank you for wearing them!

It may be like Redwing. Some of Redwings are made in China but, they still make some in the USA. They are usually the ones that are still over $200. I could be wrong though because it has been a few years since I had to buy boots.

I have worn Wolverines, cheap Chinese made Wal-Mart brand's and my latest pair is Worx by Redwing, also made in CHina.
I was not happy to see the Made in China, but I didn't have the 200+ for Made in America.
The Wal-Mart brand that I bought in 2003 lasted about as long as my Wolverines. The problem was that Wal-Mart stopped carrying that model, Though they were a PAIN to brake in.
