Not happy about today. I got stuck with a straight job again and of course it's the one that's got a broken lift gate, no a/c and everything else in the book. Im a little offended that they gave the guy beneath me the truck with A/C

    CenutryClass Thanks this.

hey skinny, I got a question. 2 dock guys are in the process of getting their license to drive... now are they going to bump me down? That transfer really starting to look good now if they do, which i dont think is fair since I have experience and they dont

Ha, that reminds me of the place I left. You could have 15 years driving experience (part time), then, a full time position would open up, but hold on bucco, some box thrower, who just came over from the hub who has zero years driving gets the job cuz that loser has been throwing boxes for 20 years. Happens ALL the time. It's time with the company, not drive time at the station. Every 6 months in the meetings, the guys would #####h about it, "It should be time at the station, NOT time with the company!", but, they'll never change that. That's why I'm at YRC. :biggrin_25519:

thats what I am worried about. At CWF when I was an apprentice I was bumped when they hired two experienced guys, but like I said I hope I dont get bumped again. If I do I hope its soon so I can still apply to the other terminal while they are still looking

I think you will get bumped down a notch or two. They will probably keep there seniority. That will only mean that you will end up doing more dock work instead of driving until someone retires or if they are busy you will do a little. It of both driving and dock work. Sorry to tell you this but seniority is all we have. I'm sure you've heard that by someone else before.

Urgg that's such bs, I would love to see these two get these trailers where I have gotten them. One just started today, he can have the straight job and I'll take my TT back... See how the next few weeks go before I apply to the other terminal
