well welcome aboard. All i did was have an interview along with a road test... then came in to fill out paper work and then a drug test. They called me a few days later to start. So far no complaints

    1catfish Thanks this.

If they invested the time in physical and drug screen, you should be good once it comes back clean. they cost money so im sure no company would waste time and money on someone they didnt plan on hiring

    1catfish and ACH1130 Thank this.

You should expect to be an employee at YRC Freight. There's no way they put you thru all those hoops without planning to put you to work. What terminal are you gonna work out of? PM me if you do t feel comfortable posting it on here. There are a few of us from YRC on this forum. Welcome aboard!!!

Im actually thinking of next year transfering to the terminal north of me for Road driver. although I do like my terminal and everyone there, I do miss line-haul and love not having to go on a forklift for 10 hours at the hub like my buddy century here lol. Although a 25 min commute vs a hour commute is tough, but as a road driver I know the money is good, especially with having to get my own place soon due to my parents moving since my step dad is getting transferred this october and need to find an apartment(im only 23 for all those who think im so old person living at home) and since its an arm and a leg on taxes in this county, will need the extra money... Still a while to decide, and you never know, the road drivers might be sent back to my terminal and can possibly get a bid... I only know of one guy who wants it and the others no one wants at all...

But as the others said, be expecting the phone call to start soon, and let me know how you enjoy it

I love mah toyota forklift bro. You can have driving. Heading out right now and im dreading the drive.

its so horrible going up donner grossed out doing 25 while england and werner flies past you..i just want to drive off the mountain. no fun.

Seriously thinking of transferring back to nj or cv and they can ##### me on the dock all night long.

Whats it like on the Donner, keep hearing about it and want an idea lol. BTW found out all YRC owned trucks are tuned to take on the mountains and things out by you. They want the freight to get there on time lol. If you want a full-time dock-driver combo gig look into new penn or even my terminal if you come back out here... YRC is different though bro... either you drive the whole day, or on the dock the whole day, no half and half. Unless XCV pays you full pay for it then I guess stick it out.

Charlotte will be a very good work opportunity for you. The company just requested like 75 drivers to transfer to Charlotte and only 25 guys went. That means they now have to hire 50 guys from the street. If your one of the first 50 you will be in tall cotton. Good luck and keep us updated.
