Road driver. I want to work as much as I can & he said that shouldn't be a problem. lol He said they normally want more experience (I only have 1 year under my belt @ FedEx Express), but, they need drivers bad. 35 jobs got sent here, only 15 transferred, so they need 20 drivers. It sure seems to be a drivers market out there. Most companies are asking for little to no experience. Anyway, he said I would start @ 85% of $.61 mi. ($.51 mi.) & full $.61 mi. after 3 years. Sounds good to me. Hope I get the ok. :biggrin_255:

Im sure you will, with the change of operations they need more road drivers. The smaller terminals only do p/d now where as the bigger ones have the road drivers. I thinking of making the transfer next year... We will see how it goes. Road driver is a nice gig though at YRC, not like the one at my previous job... Were u a tt driver or step van driver for FDX express?

I am part time ramp transport driver. I like the place, problem is, takes 15 years to become full time. Bye bye FedEx. lol

Ive heard that before. I used to work for fedex ground. The express guys i met were mostly part-time and were trying to get into UPS but that takes years to become a driver. Im happy where I am at YRC now...

Ah, they wouldn't have you do all that if you're not in. Be patient. Where you gonna be working out of?

Cool. I love NC. Would love to go back some day. Lived there (northern edge) many years ago. Some beautiful country there. The dirt sure was red there. lol
