On the continuing saga of "it's never too late to get kicked out of the program" I am reporting that in the most recent group of guys that are testing out, 2 of 7 didn't pass. This means that they've gone through orientation, training, spent weeks on a trainer truck (probably suffered through a couple trips on the Greyhound) come back and STILL didn't get their own truck. From what I hear, one was non-compliant with CPAP. The other didn't pass the final test. Keep your eye on the prize!
I'm sorry that someone didn't pass the final test, but I do like the fact that Maverick won't take you if you can't do the ENTIRE job correctly. That proves they don't just want more steering wheel holders, because his trainer sent him back to test out, so obviously he could drive the truck. But you have to be able to do more than that, and I wish every company out there would adopt those kinds of standards. Like I said, I'm sorry for the guy that didn't make it, but this job isn't for everyone.
