Why did mask believers give up critical thinking? I need a little more science to explain to me how a non medical grade mask helps with a medical problem.

I'd like to know how the life expectancy is 4 years when the thing hasn't reached it's first year yet.
Covid-19.
I think the date of first occurrence was December 15 or 18. 2019. -
Also, to what are they referring by the non medical label? Construction? Filter media? Efficacy? Lack of certification?
Non medical masks can still perform an important function. -

Medical staff wear them to keep from catching a virus from those they are providing services to ... how we wear masks don’t really help in that way because we reuse the mask over and over and touch them often... no ones washes their hands before/after using a mask or only touches the straps of the masks, etc.
The reason they want us to wear them is IF you already have the bug, and are asymptomatic, the mask will help keep you from spreading it to those around you by keeping your breathe and droplets from flying all over.
so using a mask, along with social distancing, should help slow the spread of the bug. Or so the thinking goes.daf105paccar Thanks this. -
So I read the article, and some in this thread have said that this rule would not apply to truck drivers. These two quotes specifically confuse me:
"As president I will mandate mask wearing in all federal buildings and all interstate transportation because masks save lives - period," Biden said in a speech in Delaware. "Wearing masks is not a political statement, it is a scientific imperative."
On Monday, the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) issued a "strong recommendation" that all passengers and employees on airplanes, trains, subways, buses, taxis and ride-share vehicles wear masks to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
So in the first bolded quote, it says "all interstate transportation". CDL Class A trucks are part of interstate transportation. In the 2nd bolded quote the recommendation is for airplanes, trains, subways, buses, taxis and ride share vehicles.
So CDL Class A trucks are part of interstate transportation. But, I'm assuming Biden would be going off the CDC recommendations and the CDC recommendations don't include CDL Class A Truck Drivers.
So I wonder if we would be required to wear a mask or not?
Or maybe they would just be required if two people were in the vehicle?
I'm keeping my post non-political here as to adhere to the forum rules, but I cannot see the logic of somebody wearing a mask when they are in a vehicle by themselves.........Who would the mask be protecting at that point?Hulld Thanks this. -
Crazy to wear a mask by yourself in a vehicle but I already witness it multiple times a day.AModelCat, BeHereNow97 and Dale thompson Thank this. -
The virus rides on aerosols. You can still fog a mirror with a mask on. The fog on a mirror is the aerosols condensing which tells me masks can’t work.

I'm sticking with.
Masks required and maintain social distancing.
There's no one with me in my truck to social distance so no mask.
