    Main advantage a school would have is a placement service and HR to try and get tuition. Some have great instructors and others should not be allowed to walk and chew gum.

    Update on school selection. I selected and completed the drivers training at "Advantage Drivers Training" in Shorewood, IL. Good school. Good variety of driving. Drove a Freightliner and a Volvo for the road test and a Mac for the skills test. I did the full-time program. Picked up my CDL license on Tuesday. Whoohoo! I almost went to Premier at Joliet Junior College but the cost at Advantage was $1,000 less and Advantage started classes more frequently than Premier. Good luck school hunting.
