Please clarify what you mean. Many drivers walk away and stop the trucks? And... are ya saying that only clean drivers and ones with integrity want the cams... or the other way around?

 

There are some drivers that just walk away, quit from the job. They don't bring trucks back to home terminal. It happen in many companies. Some protect themselves by using in truck cameras.

 

Oh... ok... got it. But, if they're the type to do that, then a camera won't solve that issue. All the while, invading those of us who are professional and have integrity! These companies who are too wimpy to simply confront the "problem driver" and resort to the "umbrella fix" aren't worth my time! Thanks though for clarifying.

 

They are out of your zone for hireing anyway. You have already been told that so camera or not makes no difference.

 

You can retract your claws now lady!!! I wasn't necessarily talking about your precious company... I was referring to ALL companies who think so little of who they hire that they resort to the invasion of the driver's privacy (but you're not a driver right?). It's the PC crowd who allow this... and that dear lady... is one reason our nation and our industry is in the condition we're in!! Have a nice day....

I'm sorry but this should NOT be the only option. Do people ever read 1984 anymore??? Drivers MUST have recourse to stand up with one voice against these violations of personal autonomy or forever have rights and dignity chipped away. Driver facing camera/in cab recorders is a line in the sand. Are there any drivers who have not been neutered who will defend it?

 

It's not a matter of being clean or having integrity. No clean driver with integrity should stand for this for a moment.

 

Your last sentence doesn't make sense. Can you clarify?
