It is quite evident you have never driven an auto shift as you have no idea of how they operate.

Well buckwheat, I'm going to USX on the 18th and am hoping for one of those. I am still on the fence about the auto's but like the idea of a standard just in case I go elsewhere in 6 months or a year.

There is no such thing as an automatic transmission in a big truck they are auto shift and unlike some of you I have no problem with them. I'm no rookie been at this game for 26 years, know how to drive either (just like a stick you have to know how to drive an auto shift) it is quite evident that some of you posting have no idea hoe an auto shift works. You may want to expand your horizons before you condemn something you know little about.

I drove one for awhile. It was nice in the traffic to not have to shift. It did not slow down like a standard would.

They had it neutered on the shifting and power and it was a dog.

Don't let the wannabe tag fool you I've been at this game several years longer than you have, I use the tag because unlike some of my fellow drivers I'm still willing to learn. If you can say you don't learn something new about this biz everyday then you are driving with blinders on. The picture BlackKW900 posted closely resembles my first truck.
