    Thank You kenn2632, I really hope so it helps to know we are not alone! The industry is so messed up honestly it makes me very ill to think about it. Your right I don't give up! However things have gotten so bad out there, I am very concerned about whats ahead. Thanks for the advise :biggrin_25514:

    Today we were told Swift Investigations gave my hubby the ok. So now we are waiting on his DAC & MVR to come back.

    Anyone deserves a second chance. To err is human. I'm glad Swift is giving you a chance. You can build from there.

    I work for Hirschbach. You don't want to work there. They closed their main terminal and two others in January and crammed in a small terminal in another state. Most of the new office people are inexperienced and things are really messed up. They are losing alot of accounts but hang on to their bread and butter, Tyson and Farmland. Their future???? The new owner has multiple companies and bankruptcies including Burlington Motor Lines for those that remember. They recently lowered their hiring standards from 2 years experience to zero years to fill seats. You work there, your paychecks will be a rollercoaster ride. I averaged 2100 miles a week this past year.

    I read a couple years ago where TX were training people in prison to get their CDL's. On release they were getting jobs. If they can get a trucking job, anyone can.

    In cali (and most states maybe, but Im speaking for california) after probation is over you can get it expunged. After expungment if a company says they wont hire you for a felony you have legal recourse you can take against that company. :):biggrin_25526::biggrin_25526:

    it didn't sound like he is criticizing the OP here.
    He's criticizing trucking company ownership are felons and thieves.

    Unless you're saying his comparison of the OP to a trucking company owner is insulting...

    Anyway, one thing you can do is look for local dump truck/construction companies. They'll usually take anyone they can get. Long, hard hours, but it's honest work with good pay, typically.

    But if you're heart is set on going OTR and Swift will take you, then the best of luck to you!
