I have had a trucks before set at 62,64,65 mph, and now I can run as fast I want. Honestly I'll rather run 70 plus instead being at those slow speeds. Im pulling 20 ft and 40 ft containers loaded at between 10, 000 and 60, 000 lbs in the box grossing up to 100,000 lbs. I usually run about 73 steady and if I come up on another truck that is running around 70 I'll usually hit the pedal and jump up to around 75 to 76. To get around them and get out of it and drop back to around 73 and I'm getting 6 to 6.5 mpg how much fuel I burn determine how much I make that week. So I wouldn't be still running 70 plus and broke. My opinion is it depends on the truck when it comes to the mpg

If I ever got my truck into the top gear, it would be doing 100 mph at 1600 RPM. I have no clue how fast it will go. I drive it around 62-65 most of the time. I like keeping most of the money I make and not throwing it up the stacks or buying tires all the time.
All of this doesn't matter anyway. DOT has sent the mandatory speed limiter thing to the white house for Obummer approval.Orangees Thanks this.
