I am going to be starting my CDL schooling in about a month. I am 27 with no wife and no kids. I really don't care how long I am out on the road. I have a clean driving record and no felonies. I also am a Marine Corps vet. I was just wondering what are some good companies out there for a newbee that just wants to get out and pound the pavement and has decent pay?

Roehl isn't the best, BUT their far from the worst out here. And which Star are you talking about? There's 3 companies named Star?????

    Red, Blue, or Green Star?

First of all, SEMPER FI and thanks for your service, Marine!

Companies will probably come to the school with all kinds of glowing information, etc. There are lots and lots of choices, but not that many companies take trainees right out of school. Look at the choices you get in school, research on this forum and other places, then pick one... gotta do your two years somewhere and get experience to pick where you really want to go. With no need for home time and a clean record, you will be a hot item for recruiters!
