    I alread have my CDL but haven't driven lately. I know I need to do a refresher course and I have my choices narrowed down to two companies. They are FFE or CRST. DOes anyone have any advice one way or the other on any of these choices ? Any input would be appreciated.

    Can you enlighten us on why these two companies? CRST is rarely recommended on this board.

    FFE has a terminal in Winter Haven.

    It's just a refresher course;
    Which one is cheapest?

    I live near Athens GA and there is a CAT plant being built and CRST has a dedicated run to CAT to this new one, Miami, and York, PA. However, I have to do a 2 week refresher course that I have to pay back once I am hired and on the road, then 28 days OTR with a trainer, then back to get my new co driver for this dedicated route and then start 2-3 weeks out and 2-3 days home. The fact the dedicated run goes by my home is tempting but I have read a lot of negative posts about CRST, so I do not want to jump into it. Sometimes things can be too good to be true.
    As for FFE, they said a two week refresher and then drive for them OTR for a year and the refresher is free. Plain and simple. Leaning this way but the dedicated by the house is on my mind.

    A choice only you can make, but for me... this truck is not big enough for two dudes.

    Have you talked to Roehl? They have a terminal in Ellenwood, Ga near Atlanta. An overall better rep and more rapidly escalating pay scale than the two you are considering. Multiple home time options also in some areas.

    I have thought about them but I am not too sure about the slip seating they do.

    youre asking for opinions. mine is, based on what ive seen as far as reviews from other drivers here and elsewhere, youd be well served to choose any company OTHER than crst (or cr england). bad reviews outweigh good ones by about 50 to 1.
