COMPANY DRIVER PAY

It is about averages in my opinion. How much do you actually make per mile after you include the down time?

 

Yeah try to stay away from pay per mile unless there is a guaranteed minimum... Most professional drivers should be pulling in 6 figures, especially if they are OTR.. I'm LTL local and that's what I make, off on weekends.. Don't let the bottom feeders try to convince you otherwise.. You are a professional and should be paid like one.. All The Best!!

 

"Most professional drivers" drivers don't deserve 6 figures for what they do. Every steering wheel holder out there considers themself to be a professional driver. Society labels every truck driver as a 'professional driver' because they do it for a living.

It is also classified as unskilled labor. Great paradox there, but there it is.
For accountability it is professional, and for wages it is unskilled.

And everyone wants more money for what they do.
How many truckers complained about raising the minimum wage for fast food workers?
Why? Was it because they were at the bottom of the totem pole and would only contribute to higher costs for everyone else? Your fast food would cost you a bit more.

Truckers are at the very base of the pyramid, just like fast food workers.
We are the support structure for the rest of society.
As such, it should be an honor to provide such service without regard to personal gain.

 

Trucking is one of the most dangerous professions known to man.. Professional drivers deserve to be paid accordingly.. Yes they make labels to benefit their bottom lines and cry SHORTAGE!! I'm pro Union.. it helps..
