Hey TR forum!
I've been wanting to get into this industry for some time now. I've been studying an awful lot so that I can be ahead of the game before I even get to a trucking school. However, now that I'm ready to commit, the company I initially wanted to go with (Prime Inc) is proving to be difficult to get in touch with. I know I'm qualified, but I can't get a hold of a recruiter so that I can commit (It's been almost a full week now of me calling THEM up daily trying to speak with my assigned recruiter). You could say that I'm impatient, but I've spent enough time studying and getting prepared and now I'm ready to make money. So my question to you all is what is a good company to work for that has decent pay? Prime Inc pays you a guaranteed $700 a week when you go out with a trainer after the initial few weeks during permit training. Do any other companies have anything similar? I really don't want to be 3-4 months into the job and getting paid only enough to survive off of (I've read Steven's Transport is like this). Can anyone share some insight please? Thank you.
Company recommendations?

Try Maverick Transportation.
TMC has decent pay and recruit for their cdl school in certain states. -
Roehl pays you 500 a week from the start of training until you finish all training and get your own truck. I think prime pays you only when you start driving with a mentor.

TheLittleGuy and Sinister are both professnial Truck Drivers and they started out at Prime and Werner.
Watch the video. They have a lot of good information for getting into this industry. I watch TheLittleGuy show a lot and he has a lot of good videos. TheLittleGuy works at Knight Transportation now though. I hear Werner is very good to start out with... -
I love the little guy show. He cracked me up while he was driving the Prime truck simulator. He's also very informative. Thank you for the Werner suggestion, buddy! I'll definitely look into them.
