there not the worst company you could start with. Their training is VERY long. And like most big companys they are up your butt all day. Most of their trucks are new or almost new, but are VERY sloooooooow.

Passing a PRIME truck is like passing a homeless guy on a Bicyle!

Company Govern their trucks to "save fuel" and to lower their insurance rates...

Example: Prime trucks do 62mph, if they are lease drivers they can do 65, although most do 55-60 to save fuel :biggrin_2559:

So in I-15 in Utah where the speed limit it 80mph, here comes prime put put puting along at a whopping 62mph:biggrin_2559:

    Swift trucks do 62

    Werner do 64

    May Trucking do 61

    Millis Transfer do 65-67

    Roehl- 62

    TMC/Maverick/Melton -62

Ontario and Quebec and they will plug into your truck at the scales to check it . Sometimes that's all they check .

If you have a disabled husband and 2 year old son you don't need to be OTR . You'll end up leaving trucking anyway . No way are you going to stay a year so the training won't be free .
So many people ask "If I don't drive a truck what am I gonna do ? " So they go to CDL school , go to a training company and 6 months later 90% of them are out of a truck asking again what are they going to do if they don't drive a truck .
Can't you run a newspaper ad and clean houses or run errands for the elderly or something ?

Nope there is no other job opportunities for me I live in the country 30 minutes from the nearest town either way and can't afford gas money to run errands I know exactly what I'm getting into people seem to think that I don't sometimes you have to do whats best for your family in the long run so don't presume to know me that I'm gonna leave before my time is up. I asked people a simple question and it seems I can't even really get that answered without people going ohhh you don''t want to do that if I didn't and if I wasnt committed I wouldnt have asked the question in the first place.

There's a reason people tell you you don't want to do it . Your commitment means nothing . Others have been just as committed and failed for one reason or another . The carrier will fire you in a heartbeat for any petty mistake . There are thousands more they can replace you with .
