I don't think there is any job or occupation that hasn't changed since the 90's.That's the reality of life.Trucking even moreso because of the shear increase in numbers in last 20 years.

Trucking,it's all what you make of it.You either like it or hate it,there's no in between. If you're a constant complainer you won't last. You'll hop from one company to another.I did my fair share of hopping the first 2 yrs.If you look at the pros to trucking you might find out truckng isn't so bad.

Im just a couple months out of orientation at my first driving job. Driving truck is something Ive wanted to do since I was a youngun and Ive kept a good attitude. I enjoy it quite a bit although being away from home so much is taking a bit more getting used to thn I expected. The few times if been unhappy was waiting for shippers who seem to have no concern about my time. But that happens.

In orientation there was a guy who was always pissed off and wanted to quit. On the last week I heàrd him say "Im just ready to quit" several times to trainers like he wanted one to finally tell him to just leave then. Hes still driving but who knows for how long. It sucks doing a job you hate. I grew to hate my last job, and Im not there anymore because of it.

When I was in school, my teacher had a joke.

You know what the difference is between puppies and truckers?

Eventually puppies grow up and quit whinning!
