No doubt - line-haul is work and sleep.. haha.. I work, I sleep, repeat 5 times.. I have no wife or kids and at my age I would have a hard time not making as much as I possibly could to get ahead - just me though. I initially bid line-haul for 2009 with the goal of becoming debt free by the end of the year and did it in 6 months. Now I do it just to save as much as possible so hopefully I can do something else altogether in a few years with enough backup to do it comfortably. I just like to see drivers here get bids they want whether it's line-haul or P&D - I really hope you get a start time you want ASAP.. Really hope you get that 10 AM for 2011 man..
On a sad note, a Buffalo, NY driver lost his life this past week while driving home from the Milton, Pa re-ship. All indications are he simply fell asleep and rolled over. Although he was only 33, he was an experienced driver and had been here for many years - his father is also a driver at the Buffalo, NY terminal. May God rest Pete's soul and help his family cope with the tragedy.
