I cannot wait to hopefully work 68-70 hours a week! It'd honestly be a dream come true. I work that now but dealing with retail customers all day.

    Hey there,
As you might have read here it could be anywhere within or upto your ninety-days. It's really dependent upon which fac(terminal) you're out of. I assume they wait a week or so to see if you have a possibility of actually staying before they order, but who knows.

I've heard it's nuts down there. Hats off to you if you can handle those hours because I know I couldn't week in and out. If I touch 50 I get cranky and that's on night line-haul. Why is it so bad down there? I've heard Texas is so short staffed because they can't compete with the oilfield work. I don't know man but that's crazy. Serious respect to you guys that can do that for long periods of time.

    CenutryClass Thanks this.

That's just the way it is JakeBrake. The oilfield has a lot to do with keeping drivers.Have some terminal down here in Texas offering $10,000 signing bonus to try to get people in.Also when they kicked a lot of people out of jobs for having certain kinds of Felonies a few years ago it really hurt our Trucking industry and we can't seem to recover. Its a Drivers market if a lot of people take time to find the job they want

The sub service carriers are missing deadlines on a Regular basis which also leads us to working more hours on the FAC

In the south we start at $19.29 / hour and .42/mile on Linehaul.

Then again the south gets paid the least of all regions.
