I have had the experience of solo OTR, team OTR, and LTL for the past several years. Each type of driving has its own good and bad things. First, let me say that I have never worked for a bad company. My attitude helps me to always squeeze lemonade out of any lemon that I get in my hand. With that said, let me say that LTL is the best fit for me, at this point in my life. I love not having a truck at my house, or finding a place to park it like in the OTR environment. I like being able to decide that I don't want to drive this week and work on the loading dock instead. I like being able to run line haul if I want to or city P and D, and choose it on a weekly basis. I like being able to be home with my wife and being able to make enough $$$$ that she can choose if she wants to work or not. CNWY has done that for me and I am greatful for eveyday they give me the opportunity to work for them. It is the best job that I have had and if you can adapt to the cold in the winter/ the heat in the summer on the dock, you can have the same opportunity. Just apply. I just wish I would have went through their training program, the guys coming out of ther are really good drivers, I hear it's tough, and I see them training but they are good drivers in my opinion.![]()
